Rob Gier retires

Yes, you read that right.

Rob Gier, 35 officially issued a statement on his Facebook page on February 17 about this surprising news.

Gier has 66 caps for the Philippines. He first suited up for the Azkals on April 14, 2009 against Bhutan. He has a total of 2 goals, the last one was against Indonesia in a 4-0 win.

All good things must come to an end so today I would like to announce that my playing career has now drawn to a close….
